This is a completed 1/54 scale wooden model of the Yacht Mary. The HMY Mary was the first royal yacht of the British Navy, originally built by the Dutch East India Company in 1660. It was later gifted to Charles II after the Restoration. The ship met its fate on March 25, 1675, when it struck a reef off the coast of Anglesey in dense fog. While 35 of the 74 crew and passengers perished, 39 were rescued. Wreckage, including bronze cannons, was recovered in 1971. The remaining artifacts were moved to the Merseyside Museum for preservation and display. The shipwreck site was designated a protected wreck site on January 20, 1974.

HMY 메리 는 영국 해군 의 첫 번째 왕실 요트 였습니다. 이 배는 1660년 네덜란드 동인도 회사 에서 건조되었으며 , 이후 암스테르담 시 에서 구입하여 왕정 복고 후 찰스 2세 에게 네덜란드 선물 로 증정되었습니다. 1675년 3월 25일, 더블린에서 체스터로 향하던 중 짙은 안개 속에서 앵글시 해안의 암초에 부딪혔습니다 . 승무원과 승객 74명 중 35명이 난파선의 파편에 휩쓸려 사망했지만, 39명은 무사히 구조되었습니다. 난파선의 잔해(청동 대포)는 1971년 7월 두 개의 잠수팀에 의해 각각 발견되었습니다. 약탈자들이 대포를 훔쳐가기 시작하자 구조 작업이 진행되었고, 남은 대포와 유물들은 보존 및 전시를 위해 머지사이드 박물관으로 옮겨졌습니다. 1973년 난파선 보호법 이 제정된 후 , 1974년 1월 20일 보호 유적지로 지정되었습니다.
