i-dle 8th Mini Album [We are]

Released after all members re-signed their contracts, the eighth mini-album [We are] shifts the 'I' from the debut album [I am] to 'We', narrating the story of 'us' who have walked together through the past. It carries on the unique style the group has shown so far, while also conveying their aspirations for a new beginning as 'us'.

The title track 'Good Thing' that opens the album features Soyeon's characteristic cool and confident lyrics, such as “This is so ha-ha, really, laugh-laugh, it's fun.” The retro sound instruments leading the track and the witty 8-Bit Sound in the second verse add a sophisticated mood to the song. The second track 'Girlfriend' is also a song that completes a cute consolation for a friend going through a breakup with Soyeon's unique touch, doubling the song's charm with rhythmic drum and guitar sounds meeting the individual members' unique vocals.

(G)I-DLE's self-composed third track 'Love Tease' is a disco genre song that the group has not attempted before. Yuqi's melodic topline added to the minimal retro track maximizes (G)I-DLE's sophisticated and unique identity.
'Chain' is a song with Minnie's characteristic dreamy topline, expressing (G)I-DLE's sophisticated changes in a new chapter through various sounds. The bold and direct lyrics particularly capture the group's growth and inner transformation.

Miyeon's self-composed song 'Unstoppable', included in a group album for the first time, is an R&B genre groovy and jazzy pop track. The emotional words combine to create novel-like lyrics that add to the listening pleasure. Shuhua's ballad 'It's Okay', in which she participated in lyric writing for the first time in 8 years since her debut, completes the final track by fully capturing Shuhua's delicate and warm emotions despite it being her first lyric writing experience.

This album, which attempts bold experiments and unpredictable expressions to convey a new beginning and high leap, captures the artists' aspects beyond the existing framework. For the first time since their debut, all members participated in songwriting and composing, embodying the album's meaning of 'us', and the musical style of each member can be clearly felt in every track.

'Girlfriend' was surprisingly written in 2022 but was deemed more fitting for 2025, hence its release now.
The genre is pop, perfect for listening to while driving, featuring a refreshing melody and sing-along chorus. The lyrics, "Don't worry, I'm here now," are impactful, and if you meet him again, you're dead.

03. Love Tease
'Love Tease', featuring Yuqi's sophisticated vibe added to the vintage charm of dynamic bass, rhythmic drums, and analog sound instruments.

Love? Pretending not to know. 'Love Tease' is, like Yuqi, a little different.
Old-fashioned? That's not our style.

Modern mood within vintage sounds.

04. Chain
(G)I-DLE's new chapter, 'Chain' that firmly binds us.
Minnie's characteristic dreamy atmosphere, direct language, and raw emotions.

05. Unstoppable
Even if swayed and pushed by the storm, eventually reaching the answer that is you.

'Unstoppable', Miyeon's self-composed song included for the first time in a group album, is a medium R&B pop track harmoniously blending groovy drums, jazzy chords, and warm brass. It adds depth by smoothly crossing a wide vocal range, and Miyeon's characteristic warm lyrics increase the song's immersion.

06. 그래도 돼요 (It's Okay)
To my past self who was clumsy and hurt a lot,
