[BUNJANG] 15th Century Joseon Dynasty Buncheong Ware Inhwa Chrysanthemum Bowl / 분청사기 인화문 대접

A genuine Buncheong ware bowl decorated with inlaid chrysanthemum patterns, dating back to the early Joseon Dynasty in the 15th century (circa 1400s).

This bowl features three delicately stamped chrysanthemum motifs (Inhwa) on the interior, surrounded by intricate inlaid linear patterns along the rim, meticulously created by carving fine lines and filling them with white slip.

The center of the bowl bears a rustic mark of the 'nae-hwa-to' (kiln sand) used as a support during the firing process when stacking vessels, offering a direct glimpse into the production techniques of the era.

The base exhibits a typical 'jukjeol-gup' (bamboo joint foot) shape, characteristic of the transitional period from Goryeo celadon to Joseon Buncheong ware. The edge of the foot retains a coarse and natural aesthetic, unique to local kilns that used coarse sand as a support during firing.

This piece is captivating with its natural glaze crackling and antique patina, reflecting the passage of time. Its form is remarkably well-preserved, with excellent condition of the rim and foot, making it a valuable item for collection and appreciation as a fine antique.

분청사기 인화문 대접 (지름 19.4cm / 높이 6.2cm)

조선 초기인 15세기(약 1400년대)에 제작된 진품 분청사기 상감 인화 국화문 대접입니다.

그릇 안쪽에는 도장으로 섬세하게 찍어낸 세 개의 국화 문양(인화문)과 테두리를 따라 정교하게 홈을 파서 백토를 메운 여러 줄의 상감 선문이 돋보입니다.

그릇 중심부에는 가마에서 구울 때 다른 그릇을 포개어 구웠던 옛 내화토(모래) 받침 흔적이 소박하게 남아 있어 당대의 제작 공정을 그대로 보여줍니다.

바닥면은 고려 말 청자에서 조선 분청사기로 넘어가는 과도기의 전형적인 죽절굽 형태를 띠고 있으며, 굽 테두리에는 굵은 모래를 받쳐 구운 지방 민요(가마) 특유의 거칠고 자연스러운 미감이 잘 살아있습니다.

오랜 세월의 흐름이 묻어나는 자연스러운 유약 균열과 고태미가 매력적이며, 형태가 크게 뒤틀리지 않고 구연부와 굽의 보존 상태가 매우 양호해 고미술품으로서의 소장 및 감상 가치가 훌륭한 기물입니다.
