As a child, I believed myself to be special and truly loved the imagined future version of myself.

However, as time has passed and I've grown taller, my current self is quite different from what I dreamed of back then.

The future ahead is filled with unfamiliar and frightening things, and I lack the courage to face the world, often finding myself looking back at the radiant child I once was.

The bright child represents my childhood self, full of dreams, and the dark shadow embracing that child from behind is my present self, unable to let go of past imaginations amidst anxiety.

Perhaps we sometimes embrace the most radiant version of ourselves from the past to endure the timid present.
