**Description:**
This small jade ring, identified as a 'Xiao Gui Jie Bi' (小珪璧) or jade ring, was historically worn suspended by a cord.

The entire artifact is adorned with a relief carved 'Gu Wen' (谷纹) pattern, also known as 'Wa Li Wen' (瓦立纹), characterized by raised, rounded grains. This motif is symbolic of jade bi discs from the Warring States period to the Han Dynasty. The 'Gu Wen' represents abundant and continuous harvests, signifying prosperity. It is a classic pattern found on ritual jade wares of the pre-Qin era, originating in the Warring States period and flourishing through the Han Dynasty.

Standard jade bi discs are circular. The edges may show slight variations depending on the jade material, polished according to the typical shapes of ancient jade.

Two reddish-brown spots on the upper and lower parts of the artifact are old soil stains from burial. Ancient jade, having been buried for extended periods, absorbs minerals from the soil, forming these stains. The color transition from the surface inwards is natural, a key characteristic for authenticating old jade.

The jade surface possesses a gentle, moist luster, smoothed and softened by the weathering of time.

기물 위아래 두 곳의 적갈색 반점은 흙에 들어간 오래된 침으로, 고옥은 오랫동안 토양에 묻혀 있습니다. 미네랄이 옥에 스며들어 형성되며, 침색은 표면에서 내부로 자연스럽게 전환되어 고옥의 중요한 감정 특징입니다. 옥표면은 온화하고 촉촉하며, 세월의 풍화를 받아 부드럽고 매끄러운 빛을 형성합니다.
소형 옥환은 몸에 옥을 차고 허리춤에 묶는 형태로 발전했습니다.
