Presenting an extremely rare long-necked jar from the Gaya Dynasty, adorned with a distinctive wavy pattern.

This piece showcases a unique and unusual form. The jar features a beautifully curved, trumpet-shaped neck rising from the body. Intricate, dense wavy patterns are meticulously engraved within four bands of linear decoration. The natural glaze is exquisite, and the flat base provides excellent stability.

Forms like this are seldom seen, even in museums. For comparative reference, the 9th and 10th images display a Gaya pottery piece from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which, while differing slightly in shape, utilizes similar techniques.

This particular pottery piece has undergone repair.

Crafted from hard, dark brown clay, it possesses a significant weight characteristic of Gaya pottery.

It's worth noting that for pottery, repairs can be so refined they are difficult to detect visually. Submerging the piece in water can often reveal subtle cracks more readily.

To aid buyers in their assessment, this jar was submerged in water as the hardened soil made the hairline cracks difficult to discern visually (refer to the 8th image).

While there are no structural repairs, there are a few chips on the mouth rim, and hairline cracks are present on one side of the body. These are subtle and difficult to identify with the naked eye due to hardening.

Despite its rarity, this valuable artifact is being offered at a reduced price due to these minor imperfections.

Dimensions: Mouth Rim Diameter - 16.5 cm, Height - 21 cm. The jar is surprisingly substantial in size upon receipt.

항아리 위로 아름다운 곡선을 한 나팔꽃 형태의 목을 가지고 있는데 4단의 선문 안으로 연속 물결문 파상문을 빼곡하게 각하였습니다.
자연유약이 아름다우며 굽은 편평하여 자세도 안정적입니다.
이런 형태는 박물관에서 잘 볼수없습니다.
9번째 10번째 이미지는 미국 메트로폴리탄 소장 가야토기로 형태는 조금 다르지만 같은 기법을 하고 있습니다.
이토기 역시 파손수리가 있습니다.
흑갈색이며 단단한 태토를 사용하여 무게감이 있는것이 가야토기의 특징입니다.
그리고 토기의 경우 수리가 워낙 정교하여 눈으로 보기 힘들때는 물에 담구면 빨리 알수있습니다.
본토기는 땅속에서 흙등이 굳어 실유를 잘 알아볼수 없어 구매자분들께서 눈으로 확인하시라고 물에 담궜습니다.

상태는 수리는 없지만 구연부 튐이 몇군데 있으며 몸통 한면으로 실유가 있습니다.
굳어서 실유가 있는지 눈으론 식별하기 힘듭니다.
