BAE173, born from the combination of ‘BAE’ and the numbers ‘1’ and ‘73’, is an acronym for ‘Before Anyone Else’, meaning ‘Sooner than anyone else’, ‘My love, honey’, and ‘Favorite’. The numbers ‘1’ for perfection and ‘73’ for good luck signify their ambition to become the most perfect ‘favorite’ group to the public.

BAE173’s first mini-album [INTERSECTION : SPARK], which garnered significant anticipation even before their debut, combines ‘INTERSECTION’, meaning ‘intersection, to intersect’, with ‘SPARK’, meaning ‘flame’ or ‘spark’. It embodies the grand aspiration of nine members with diverse charms coming together to create immense synergy and produce the best music with limitless potential and skill.

The title track ‘Crush on U’ is an upbeat R&B song based on New Jack Swing. It stands out with its witty lyrics about boys unfamiliar with love pretending to be cool about not believing in love, only to find themselves falling for their fated partner.
