This is a square planter made during the Chinese Republican era (early to mid-20th century). It inherits the traditional glaze color and aesthetic of the Longquan kiln from the Song Dynasty. The overall shape has a wide mouth and narrows towards the bottom, with the four corners of the planter carved to add a three-dimensional effect.

The lower part of the planter features vertical, embossed line patterns at regular intervals, emphasizing geometric restraint. The glaze is a subtle celadon green, and the overall luster creates a vintage atmosphere. The bottom has a circular water outlet for drainage, and the exposed clay around the foot reveals the texture of the clay and the fire-stone red phenomenon.

This piece well represents the characteristics of a modern celadon planter, combining practicality and aesthetic value.

본 기물은 송대(宋代) 용천요(龍泉窯)의 전통적인 유색과 조형미를 계승하여 민국시대에 제작된 사방형 화분이다. 전체적인 형태는 구연부(口緣部)가 넓고 저부(底部)로 갈수록 좁아지는 상광하협(上廣下狹)의 안정적인 구도를 취하고 있으며, 기벽의 네 모서리를 깎아 입체감을 더했다.

화분의 하단부에는 일정한 간격의 세로형 양각 선문(線紋)을 배치하여 기하학적 절제미를 강조하였으며, 이는 단조로울 수 있는 기면에 시각적 변주를 주는 요소로 작용한다. 유약은 은은한 청록색의 매자청(梅子靑) 계열이 전면에 시유되었으며, 기물 전반에 흐르는 침착한 광택은 고풍스러운 분위기를 자아낸다.

바닥면에는 원활한 배수를 위한 원형의 수구(水口)가 뚫려 있으며, 굽 주변으로는 태토가 노출되어 제작 당시의 치밀한 흙의 질감과 화석홍(火石紅) 현상을 확인할 수 있다. 실용성과 감상 가치를 동시에 겸비한 근대기 청자 화분의 특징을 잘 보여주는 기물이다.
