Crafted in imitation of ancient Shang and Zhou dynasty bronze ware (specifically the square Zun form and animalistic decorations), this vase showcases a fascinating blend of red and blue glazes. This glazing technique is reminiscent of the Jun ware from the Song Dynasty or the Donghongyou (copper-red glaze) technique of the Qing Dynasty, recreated in a later period.
The base of the vessel and the crackling of the clay body show signs of age, attesting to its historical significance.
