Deodato, a master keyboardist and arranger from Brazil, first gained recognition in the Bossa Nova scene collaborating with artists like Antônio Carlos Jobim and Marcos Valle. He later moved to the US, forging a unique sound by fusing jazz, funk, pop, and classical music.

Under the direction of producer Creed Taylor and engineer Rudy Van Gelder, this album boasts an all-star lineup of top-tier musicians.
