A silver gourd flask from the Joseon Dynasty.

In the Joseon Dynasty, it was a tradition for royalty and noble families to drink *hapgeunju* (a ritual wine-sharing ceremony) using silver gourd flasks during weddings.

These vessels were carefully preserved and also used for carrying water during travels.

The gourd shape is believed to symbolize the bringing of great fortune to the home.
