**Artist's Legacy:**
Considered a pioneer of modern Korean ceramics, Lim Hwa-gong forged a unique path as a female ceramicist in the nascent Korean pottery scene of the 1950s-60s. She dedicated her life to integrating the aesthetic principles of traditional Joseon white porcelain into contemporary ceramic art while nurturing future generations of artists at Ewha Womans University.
