A small, yet intricately designed brush holder from the late Qing Dynasty.

This piece features openwork auspicious motifs on the upper portion, while the lower section is adorned with blue and white floral designs depicting blooming trees. The rim is detailed with a modified scroll pattern and a thick blue band, complemented by double blue lines around the base, enhancing its overall sophistication.

While originally intended for fine brushes, this versatile item can now serve as a decorative piece on tea tables, vanities, or display cabinets, showcasing its elegant form.

작은 필통이지만,
동부 위쪽으로 길상문을 투각하고
아래쪽으로는
청화로 꽃이 피어나는 나무를 시문하여
짜임새 있는 구성을 하였고
구연부 쪽으로는 변형전지문과 굵은 청선을,
굽 바깥 쪽으로는 역시 청화 쌍선을 돌려 완성도를 높였다.
청말의 기물인 이 필통은
당시에는 세필(細筆)을 꽂는 용도의 필통으로 쓰였겠으나
현대에는 필통으로는 물론 차탁, 화장대, 장식장 등에서
다양한 용도로 우아한 자태를 뽐낼 수 있겠다.
거침 없는 필치와 청화의 농담이 조화로운 멋진 골동이다.
크기는 높이 약 10.4, 지름 5.3 cm이고
