제153 전투비행대대는 1979년 창설 이후 45년 간 대한민국의 영공을 수호하다가, 2024년 9월 F-4E 팬텀 II의 퇴역과 함께 공식 해편(해체) 된 유서 깊은 대대입니다. 대대 상징인 팬텀기 와 조종사 캐릭터, 그리고 "충성을 조국에 정렬을 하늘에"라는 부대 슬로건이 입체감 있게 양각되어 있습니다.
