This artwork expresses 'things we cannot look away from' through the image of a fish combined with an eye. Like fish swimming in water, we too live in the space of reality, sometimes facing unwanted truths and emotions. 잠이 든 순간에도 세상을 향한 시선을 완전히 거둘 수 없는 존재입니다. 저는 그런 물고기의 특성이 이상하게도 인간과 닮아 있다고 느꼈습니다.
눈은 세상을 바라보기 위한 기관이지만, 동시에 보고 싶지 않은 현실까지도 끊임없이 마주하게 만듭니다. 살아가면서 누구나 외면하고 싶은 순간을 만나지만, 현실은 쉽게 눈을 감게 두지 않습니다.
