This is a rare 1966 5 Won coin, part of the first series of current coinage.

Among the 1966 series, the 5 Won coin is particularly scarce, with only 4,500,000 minted. It's a red copper coin where the face value was lower than the metal price. It is estimated that a significant number of these rare coins have been damaged over the decades.

Highly recommended for collection and as a historical artifact due to its significant historical symbolism.
