[BUNJANG] Dir en grey "Kijo" Limited Edition 3rd Album / Dir en grey 디르앙그레이 3집 앨범 귀장 한정반

This is the limited edition of the third major album by the Japanese band Dir en grey, titled "Kijo" (鬼葬). This release features a secret lyric card, a special inclusion with the initial pressing.

Released on January 30, 2002, "Kijo" marked a significant shift in Dir en grey's musical direction. Following this album, the band began to visibly move away from their visual kei aesthetic, transitioning towards a more hardcore and metal sound. The first pressing of this album is distinguished by its silver jacket and includes two lyric cards with full-color English lyrics, featuring unique typography for each song. The standard edition, identifiable by its white jacket, contains sepia-toned lyrics.

Regarding the album title, Kyō explained that "Kijo" combines the imagery of a red demon with the color blue associated with funerals. Unlike the preceding albums "GAUZE" and "MACABRE," the members aimed for a more straightforward, live-performance-oriented sound that directed its energy outward.

The track "ain't afraid to die" was intentionally delayed for inclusion as it served as the concluding piece for the "MACABRE" narrative. Much of the lyrical content explores themes of eroticism and heartbreak, with Kyō stating he had nothing specific he wished to convey through them.

귀장은 일본 밴드 Dir en grey의 메이저 3번째 앨범.
본작 이후 [탈비주얼계]노선의 악곡이 눈에 띄게 되어, 싱글곡을 제외하고 현재의 하드 코어·메탈로 음악성이 전환되어 간다.
첫회반만 특수 사양으로 가사 카드가 2개 존재한다. 초회반은 재킷이 은색이고 가사 카드 부분은 모두 컬러 묘사로 영어사로 돼 있고 글씨체도 악곡마다 바뀌었다. 
통상반은 세피아 묘사로 보통 가사가 실려 있다. 통상반은 자켓 색깔이 흰색.
앨범 타이틀에 대해서는 「귀신이 붉은 이미지로, 장례식이 푸른 이미지. 그 둘이 합쳐진 느낌이 들었다」라고 하는 것을 쿄가 말하고 있다.
『GAUZE』나 『MACABRE』까지의 세계관과는 달리 전체가 밖으로 향하는 단순명쾌하고 라이브를 의식한 것으로 하고 싶었다고 멤버들은 말하고 있다.
ain't afraid to die는 MACABRE의 세계관을 마감하는 완결편이라는 의미 때문에 수록이 연기됐다.
가사의 대부분이 에로그로나 실연계 같은 내용이 되어 있다. 또 「특별히 말하고 싶은 것도 없다」라고 쿄는 말하고 있다.
