일본판 롤링 스톤지가 2007년에 선정한 「일본의 록 명반 100」에서는 34위에 랭크 인하고 있다. 이는 2000년대에 발매된 앨범 중 최고위이다.
이번 작품의 키워드라고 할 수 있는 'Wither'라는 단어는 케이가 앨범 전체의 이미지를 느꼈을 때 '시들다'라는 이미지를 강하게 느꼈기 때문에 나왔고, 거기서부터 이번 작품의 제목이 됐다.
발매 전 제작 때 인터뷰에서는 마음 같아서는 평평해져서 하고 싶은 일을 하고 싶은 대로 한다는 심경을 밝혔다. 또 이번 작품의 이미지 질문을 받았을 때, Toshiya는 VULGAR가 하나의 굵은 붓으로 갈겨 쓴 듯한 느낌이라면, 이 앨범은 하나의 점이 모여 하나의 그림을 만들어 내는 느낌이라고도 말했다.
전작 「VULGAR」와 비교해서 멜로디어스함이 강해지고 있어, 몇개의 소리를 거듭해 소리에 두께를 갖게 하고 있던 「VULGAR」에 대해서, 샤프한 음 만들기가 의식되어 듣기 쉽게 구성되어 있어 그 악곡의 밸런스가 좋거나, 영역을 넓게 느끼게 하는 것부터도, 해외에서 포인트가 되고 있는 곡도 많다고 말하고 있다.
