Established in 1932, Ferris Manufacturing Company began by producing training rifles during World War II. Following the war, they specialized in creating toy replicas of historical firearms, particularly during the Western movie craze, using wood and die-cast materials.

This piece was produced around the 1980s at their Savannah, Tennessee factory. Over the decades, it has developed a distinguished patina from handling, with natural oxidation (aging) on the metal components, giving it an authentic antique appearance.
