[SOLD OUT] 1세대 초기형 진나단 M51 쉘파카 코튼 새틴 풀셋 M

After the pattern was set on March 12, 1951,
seven units were produced on May 21, one on May 22, and one on May 24.
Around nine manufacturers contracted with the US government to produce the "Parka Shell M1951."
The outer fabric was made of cotton satin, commonly called jean nadan, and cotton twill (the M51 Shell Parka was later manufactured in three fabrics, including a cotton-nylon blended Oxford from July).
These units are called the first generation.
This parka was made of cotton satin and was manufactured on May 21, 1951, by Kravin Park Clothes, the company with the largest number of units.

*Key features of the early first-generation model
1. 12oz heavy cotton satin or cotton twill
2. The zipper's cotton tape and slider puller are replaced with a khaki-colored Talon aluminum fastener
3. The hood's lining is a thinner khaki two-tone material, not the OG cotton of the outer fabric
4. The manufacturing instructions call for the cuff buttons to be fitted with the common bowl-shaped(?) buttons seen from the second-generation model, but the flat buttons used on the M47 and M48 were mixed with the second-generation buttons to clear out inventory.

L-shaped repair marks on the left shoulder
Scratch marks and holes on the left elbow
Scratch marks on the outside of the hood on the left and right shoulders and the center of the right arm
Minor stains in two places below the left pocket
Three pinholes on the bottom and side
The elasticity of the wristband has largely disappeared, but the double-stitched puckering, a characteristic of vintage models, is very pretty and stylish, unlike the riff-raff. It remains, and you can feel a luxurious, glossy sheen that's on a whole other level than the shiny feel of cotton-nylon blended Oxford fabric.
The U.S. ARMY Insignia patch is a popular, thick embroidered version.
It measures 65cm in width, 61cm in sleeve length, and 90cm in total length.
There may be some tolerance depending on the measurement method,
but consider it an oversized fit, approximately a domestic size 105-7.

*Inner Lining
This second-generation towel-type item was manufactured from 100% wool by U.S. Display after the pattern was determined on February 26, 1953, and a contract was signed on April 23. The Medium size is faintly visible. The instruction sheet is mostly erased, but the mil-spec is still legible. There appears to be no significant contamination or damage.
Typically, misalignment between the outer button and inner buttonhole positions often results in significant bulging, but this combination works perfectly.

*Hood
Contracted May 26, 1952
Manufactured by Jules Segal & Co. using a second-generation cotton and nylon oxford fabric. Records indicate that rabbit fur was also used due to supply shortages at the time. However, this is real coyote fur, and the fur is relatively soft and rich. However, due to a cutting error (at the time, fur-covered hoods were made by sewing together at least two to four fur pieces), there is approximately 1cm of gap on the right edge. The wire has been removed, likely due to the many people intentionally removing it.
The elastic band at the crown has changed from olive green to a khaki tone due to washing and other changes over time. Japanese nerds call this "a kick." ^^

아닌 다른 더 얇은 소재의 카키 투톤
4. 제조 지침엔 소매 단추를 2세대부터
흔히 보이는 그릇모양(?)의 단추를
부착하라고 되어있음에도 M47, M48에
적용되었던 평단추를 재고소진을 위해
2세대 버튼과 혼용해서 제작

* 외피
왼쪽 어깨쪽에 ㄴ자로 수선한 흔적
왼쪽 팔꿈치 스침자국과 홀
후드 외부 왼쪽, 오른쪽 어깨 그리고
우측 팔 중앙에 스친 흔적
좌측 포켓 아랫쪽 두군데 미세한 얼룩
하단과 옆구리 쪽 핀홀 3개가 있으며
손목 밴드의 탄성은 거의 사라진 상태지만
리프로 같지 않은 빈티지 특유의
더블 스티치 퍼커링이 아주 이쁘고
멋지게 잔존하고 있으며
면ㆍ나일론 혼방 옥스포드 원단의
번들거림과는 차원이 다른 윤기있는
고급진 광택감을 느낄 수 있습니다.
U.S. ARMY 인시그니아 패치는
많이들 선호하시는 두툼한 자수 버전이며
품65, 소매 61, 총장 90cm로
재는 법에 따라 다소 오차는 있고
국내 105~7 정도의 오버핏이라
보시면 됩니다.

*내피
1953년 2월26일 패턴이 정해지고
4월 23일 계약 후 U.S. Display사에서
100% 울 소재로 제조한 타월타입
2세대 개체이며 Medium 사이즈가
희미하나마 확인되고 인스트럭션 난은
거의 지워졌으나 밀스펙은 식별이
가능하며, 딱히 오염이나 손상은
없는 것으로 보입니다.
통상 외피의 버튼과 내피의 단추구멍
위치가 맞지 않아 중간중간 심하게
뜨는 경우가 많은데 이 두 조합은
아주 잘 맞습니다.

*후드

코튼+나일론 옥스포드로 생산
당시 물량부족으로 토끼털도
사용했다는 기록이 있으나 이것은
리얼 코요테 퍼이며 스킨도 비교적
부드럽고 풍성한 편이나 재단실수(당시
퍼가 달린 후드는 제조 시 스킨을 적게는
2개에서 4개 이상 연결 재봉하여 제작함)
인지 우측 끝단 쪽 1cm 정도가 비어 있으며 와이어는 일부러 제거하는 분들이
많은 탓인지 제거되어 있습니다.
정수리의 탄성밴드는 세탁 등으로 인한
경년변화로 올리브그린에서 카키톤으로
변하게 되는데 일본의 덕후들 사이에선
이게 또 킥이라고 하네요.^^
