[BUNJANG] Northern Song Dynasty Ru Ware Celadon Glaze Kylin Lantern Candle Holder / 여요청량사 천청유 산양 유등/촛대

This is a lamp (candle holder) in the shape of a kylin, inspired by the Tianqing glaze of the Qingliangsi branch of Ru ware from the Northern Song Dynasty.

The entire piece is covered in a subtle sky-blue Tianqing glaze. The naturally formed crackles (kaipian) on the surface add an elegant, antique charm.

The kylin has been regarded in traditional Chinese culture as an auspicious creature symbolizing good fortune, blessings, and peace. Incorporating this motif into the lamp combines decorative appeal with symbolic meaning. The body is rendered with realistic yet soft curves, beautifully showcasing the refined and dignified aesthetic characteristic of Ru ware.

Ru ware celadon is considered one of the most beloved ceramic masterpieces of the Song Dynasty imperial court, and the clear, deep color of the Tianqing glaze continues to be cherished by collectors today. This work faithfully replicates the Ru Ware Qingliangsi style, making it an excellent choice for interior decoration or as a collectible for Chinese ceramic enthusiasts.

북송시대 여요(汝窯) 청량사 계통의 천청유(天青釉)를 방한 산양 형상의 유등(油燈) 겸 촛대입니다. 은은한 하늘빛 천청유가 전체를 감싸고 있으며, 유면에는 자연스럽게 형성된 개편(開片)이 고풍스러운 운치를 더합니다.
산양은 중국 전통문화에서 길상(吉祥)과 복(福), 평안의 의미를 담고 있는 상서로운 동물로 여겨졌으며, 이러한 조형을 유등에 접목하여 장식성과 상징성을 함께 갖추고 있습니다. 특히 몸체를 사실적이면서도 부드러운 곡선으로 표현하여 여요 특유의 단아하고 품격 있는 미감을 잘 보여줍니다.
