[BUNJANG] Park Je-sun "Ganchan" (Letter) - 1893 / 친일파 박제순 간찰

This is a rare "Ganchan" (letter) believed to be from Park Je-sun (1858~1916), one of the "Eulsa Five Traitors" during the Joseon Dynasty.

Written in semi-cursive script, the content appears to be a personal greeting. The date '癸巳年 一月 二十日' (20th Day of the 1st Month, Gyyesi Year) is inscribed on the left side. As Gyyesi year corresponds to 1893, it aligns with Park Je-sun's lifespan. Below the date, '平齊' (Pyeongje), his pen name, is written in cursive.

This piece is highly valuable, distinguished by the presence of a seal, unlike typical forgeries.

A label on the back, affixed to the backing paper, reads '朝鮮國內閣總理 朴齊純 札' (Joseon Kuk Naegak Chongri Park Je-sun Chal - Letter from Joseon's Prime Minister Park Je-sun) in robust paper. It is uncertain whether this label was applied during the time the letter was written or later, during the framing process.

Photographs were taken without the frame due to light reflection. The item will be shipped framed.

As this is an unauthenticated piece, it cannot be priced at a premium. While appraisal was considered, the substantial cost was prohibitive, leading to its continued safekeeping. 조선시대 을사오적 중 한사람이며 호는 평제, 자는 서경인 박제순(1858~1916)의 간찰로 보이는 작품 한점 입니다.

내용으로는 안부 인사의 내용을 행.초서체로 쓰인것으로 보이며, 좌측 끝부분에는 '癸巳年 一月 二十日(계사년 1월 20일)' 라고 쓰여있는데, 계사년이 1893년 이므로 박제순의 일몰년도와 일치합니다.

날짜 밑에는 平齊(평제)라고 초서로 쓰여있습니다. 보통의 가품들과는 다르게 낙관까지 찍혀있는것으로 귀한 작품입니다.

간찰 뒤에 붙어있는 한지의 좌측 하단에는 도톰한 종이로 '朝鮮國內閣總理 朴齊純 札(조선국 내각총리 박제순 찰)' 이라고 쓰여있는데, 조선의 내각총리 박제순의 편지라는 얘기로, 이 간찰이 쓰여진 당대에 쓰인것인지, 후대에 액자로 만드매 붙인 것인지는 알수가 없습니다.

빛이 반사되서 사진은 액자를 빼고 촬영하였으며, 구입하시면 액자에 넣어서 배송됩니다.
