This exquisite Jungho tea bowl is crafted by Dohong Kim Yuntae, a master of the Sangjuyo kiln. Dohong, a recognized figure among the top seven contemporary potters and a holder of Busan Intangible Cultural Asset No. 13, is renowned for his mastery over the entire ceramic process, from sourcing the clay to the final painting. His dedication to tea bowl creation earned him recognition in Japan in the early 1970s. Dohong is celebrated for his perfect recreations of over 30 tea bowl types, including Ido tea bowls, documented since the 1990s.

This tea bowl, born from Kim's move to Sangju, a region rich in high-quality clay, reflects his commitment to tradition and excellence.

도봉선생은 다완 제작에 심여를 기우려 70년대 초반 일본에서 작품성을 인정 받았고 국내에는
90년대 이후 이도다완등 문헌으로 남아 있는 다완 30여종을 완벽하게 재현했다는 평가를
받고 있는 분이십니다
다완용으로 쓰이는 양질의 흙이 풍부한 경북상주로 가마를 옮기며
상주요 (尙州窯)가 되었습니다.
