**Album Concept:**

The title "Hi-izuru Basho" (meaning "Place Where the Sun Rises") was inspired by Sheena Ringo's desire to focus on "royal road" music. She noticed an increasing number of words related to "sunlight" in her lyrics since the album "Naminaki no Kuni," and envisioned an album depicting "scenes illuminated by the sun and what happens in the shadows," portraying the unavoidable aspects of life.

본작은, 시이나 링고 명의로서는 2009년 발표의 「삼문 가십」 이래 약 5년 반만, 또 시이나가 재적하고 있던 밴드· 도쿄지헨이 해산되고 나서는 처음이 되는 오리지날 앨범.
앨범으로서는 셀프 커버 앨범 「역수입~항만국~」에서 약 5개월만의 발표가 된다.
본작에는 2009년부터 2014년까지 발표되어 앨범 미수록이었던 싱글 표제곡 6곡과 앨범을 위해 써내려간 신곡 7곡 등 총 13곡을 수록.
초회한정반 A(CD+Blu-ray Disc), 초회한정반 B(CD+DVD), 통상반(CD만)의 3형태로 발매되어 하드 북 케이스사양의 초회한정반 A와 B에는, 각각 동내용의 특전 영상 (수록곡의 뮤직·비디오전 6개)이 수록된 Blu-ray 또는 DVD가 부속된다. 또한, 본 작품에서 최초로 고해상도 음원을 전달하기 시작한다.
제목은 시이나: 시이나: 최근에 품어 온 '이제 왕도밖에 하고 싶지 않아'라는 생각에 붙여졌다.
마침 「남은 부」때부터 자신의 가사에 "햇빛"을 가리키는 어휘들이 늘어나고 있음을 깨닫고 다음 앨범에서는 『눈이 뜬 거리』를 그리고 싶다』『햇빛이 드는 장소에서 일어나는 일과 그 뒤에서 일어나는 일들, 살다 보면 밝혀져 누구나 피해갈 수 없는 국면을 짙게 그려내고 싶다』고 생각했다. 그리고 막상 제작이 시작되자, 「日出處」라는 타이틀이 분명히 떠올랐다, 라고 시이나는 말하고 있다.
