Swervedriver's 'Mezcal Head', a 1993 USA first press vinyl.

While bands like Slowdive expanded the shoegaze genre with a more static sound after My Bloody Valentine's emergence, Swervedriver, around the same time, offered a more dynamic musical experience by incorporating faster, more intense rock elements.

Although they may not have achieved the same legendary status as Slowdive, Swervedriver played a significant role in bridging shoegaze and alternative rock, laying the groundwork for many later bands, including Deftones, who explored heavier shoegaze sounds. This album is considered an underappreciated gem.

**Condition:** The vinyl is in excellent condition with no scratches and is very clean overall. The cover is also neat and tidy. This is a 1993 USA first pressing.

확장했다면 비슷한 시기에 그와 반대로 더 빠르고 강렬한 록을 접목하여 보다 동적인 음악을 선보인게 Swervedriver 입니다.
라이드나 부래들리스 초창기의 혼탁함 속 소용돌이치는 강렬한 애너지와는 결이 다른 좀더 직선적이고 거친..싸이키델릭록 입니다.
자세히 들여다보면 훨씬 다양하여 이게 단적인 표현이긴한데 굳이 간단히 예를들자면 슈게이징+그런지 정도로 보셔도 됩니다.

물론 slowdive 처럼 또 하나의 레전드로 널리 평가받진 않지만
슈게이징이 얼터너티브록으로 흡수되는 가교 역활을 누군가
했다면 분명 유의미한 지분이 있는 밴드라고 생각합니다.
개인적으로는 매우 높이 평가하는 밴드입니다.

훗날 데프톤즈를 필두로 헤비한 슈게이징을 탐구하는 많은 밴드들의 초석을 다져준 저평가된 밴드입니다.

상태는 스크래치 없이 전반적으로 매우 깨끗합니다.
커버도 깔끔해요.
