This is a Buncheong ware iron-painted three-leaf pattern vase and iron glazed cup by master ceramicist Tocheong Hong Jaepyo.

Master Tocheong's works are currently exhibited and auctioned at major venues.

Tocheong Hong Jaepyo (1932-2011) was a representative Korean ceramic master who recreated the traditional Jin-sa, which had disappeared since the Joseon Dynasty, using Goryeo techniques from the 12th century. He learned ceramics from his father, Hong Soon-hwan, starting at the age of 13. He founded Ijo Yo, now Tocheong Ga, in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, raising the status of modern Korean ceramics. He also actively engaged in overseas activities, including invited exhibitions at American universities and in Japan, to promote the excellence of traditional Korean ceramics.

The techniques have been passed down to his son, and the family business is now in its third generation at Tocheong Ga.

In the early 1970s, he received national love appearing as a white-haired potter in the national anthem video that marked the beginning and end of KBS broadcasts.

This Buncheong ware iron-painted three-leaf pattern vase features three leaf patterns applied with iron-paint using the 'bandeom-beong' technique.

The bottom bears the mark '土丁'.

The iron glazed cup is made by applying iron oxide first and then a transparent glaze, resulting in a beautiful drip effect of black earth.

While there is no kiln mark, it is confirmed to be a work by Master Tocheong.

아들에게도 기술을 전수해 현재는 토정가의 3대째 가업으로 이어지고 있습니다.
1970년대 초반 KBS 방송의 시작과 끝을 알리는 애국가 영상에 백발의 도공 모습으로 등장해 국민적인 사랑을 받았습니다.
본 분청사기 철화 삼엽문병은 반덤벙기법으로 세개의 입사귀문양을 철화로 시문하였습니다.
저부 土丁 도결보입니다.
철유잔은 산화철을 먼저 바른후 위에 투명유를 시유한 잔으로 흑토분장의 흘러내림이 멋드러집니다.
도결은 없으나 토정선생님의 작품이 맞습니다.
