What is TOW?
TOW refers to pottery crafted in the likeness of various forms or animals. It literally means an 'earthenware doll.' In a broader sense, it encompasses not only human figures but also representations of animals, household items, houses, and other symbolic objects.

Ancient TOW figures were created in various forms, including toys, decorative items, and shamanistic idols.

This is an amusing TOW doll, likely representing a woman from the Three Kingdoms period, characterized by a comical expression.

As it is unauthenticated, we cannot definitively state its authenticity. However, it does not appear to be a recent creation; the firing process in a wood-fired kiln has imparted a sense of age, suggesting considerable time has passed, making its true origin ambiguous.

Regarding its condition, it appears as though a portion of the wrist touching the figure's waist might be damaged. Upon closer inspection, it is presumed to be a separation caused by moisture contraction during the firing process.

다른 여러 가지의 동물,생활용구,집,등 모든 표상물
을 가리키는 말로 쓰인다
고대의 토우는 장난감이나 예완용으로 만들어진 것,
과 주술적인 우상으로서의 성격을 가진것,등 여러
형태로 드러난다
삼국시대의 여인상을 표현한 것으로 익살스런 표정의
재밋는 토우인형 입니다
미감정 상태로 진품 이라고 말씀 드리긴 뭔가 1%
부족하고~최근 신작으로 보기엔 장작가마의 고열로
소성된 쇳소리가 느껴지는 세월감도 다분한 상태로
정말 진위의 판단이 애매한 난해한 상태입니다
상태는 인물의 허리부분과 맞닿은 손목의 일부가
훼손된것 같기도 하나 자세히 살펴보면 아마도
가마소성시 수분의 수축현상으로 벌어짐, 분리된
것으로 추측됩니다
