Toys McCoy is a high-end military and workwear brand founded in 1996 by Hiroshi Okamoto, a legendary figure in Japanese repro fashion. The brand aims for the 'ultimate reproduction,' perfectly recreating the era and culture of the time, going beyond simple clothing. They meticulously research and recreate 1940s-1960s American military uniforms and workwear using the same methods as back then, down to the thickness of each thread and the texture of buttons.

The founder is famously a huge fan of actor Steve McQueen. Products perfectly replicating the clothes he wore, such as the A-2 jacket from the movie 'The Great Escape,' are symbols of the brand. The 'back print (hand-painted art on the back of the jacket)' and patch details, based on Okamoto Hiroshi's illustration skills, boast an artistry that other brands cannot imitate.
