For sale is a vintage Citizen Crystron Solar Cell quartz watch, meticulously preserved as a collector's item.

Recently serviced with a full overhaul and battery replacement, the watch's condition is as shown in the photos.

The Citizen Crystron Solar Cell, launched in 1976, was the world's first light-powered analog quartz watch. It featured eight single-crystal solar cells on the dial that charged an auxiliary battery to power the watch. Citizen pioneered the concept of eco-friendly timekeeping over 40 years ago by creating a watch that eliminated the need for periodic battery replacements. At the time of its release, the watch was priced at 45,000 yen, a significant amount equivalent to about half a year's salary for a new college graduate.

1976년에 출시된 크리스톤 솔라 셀 에코 드라이브는 세계 최초의 빛 에너지 충전식 아날로그 쿼츠 시계였습니다. 다이얼에 배열된 8개의 단결정 태양 전지가 보조 배터리를 충전하여 시계를 작동시켰습니다. 오늘날 전 세계적으로 환경 문제에 대한 인식이 높아지고 있지만, 시티즌은 40여 년 전에 이미 주기적인 배터리 교체가 필요 없는 제품을 개발함으로써 이 문제에 대한 해결책을 제시했습니다.
