This banknote is a 2nd edition 1000 Won note featuring the 'First Print Symbol' ('Ga Ga Ga'). It is authenticated by PMG in the USA as a 'Replacement Note', starting with the serial number '9'.

As banknotes with the 'Ga Ga Ga' symbol starting with '9' from the 2nd edition 1000 Won series were not officially circulated, it is presumed that this note was separated from a full sheet and then graded.

This is a unique banknote, being a rare 'Replacement Note' graded from the 2nd edition 1000 Won series.
