[BUNJANG] 1970s Korean Mother-of-Pearl Lacquerware Document Box / 근대사 70년대 나전칠기 고급 자개서류함
Dimensions: 14cm width, 33cm length, 10cm height.
This piece was produced during the peak of Korean mother-of-pearl artistry. The central quatrefoil-shaped window features paired phoenixes, cranes, and fish crafted from mother-of-pearl in shades of blue and red. The interior of the lid bears an inscription, indicating it was a gift presented to General Hwang Jong-woo upon his promotion, by Professor Kim Han-ju, the first president of Kyunggi University.
This item is over 50 years old and appears to be unused.
It is in excellent condition relative to its age, maintaining a very good exterior appearance. Upon very close inspection, minor imperfections can be found that do not detract from the overall quality.
