[BUNJANG] 19th-20th Century Scholar Lee Gyu-beom's Handwritten Chinese Poem (Seven-character律诗 Calligraphy) / [희귀/고문서/칠언절구] 조선선비의 친필 생일 축하 한시 (행초서 서예작

A rare and valuable antique document (a personal letter/Seven-character律诗 Chinese poem) from my collection.

This is not a simple old letter of inquiry, but an original handwritten Seven-character律诗 Chinese poem of 56 characters, personally composed and sent by a scholar named 'Lee Gyu-beom', who was active in the late 19th to early 20th century, to congratulate his peer on his birthday.

- Research on Lee Gyu-beom did not yield specific records, but his calligraphy and the poem's content suggest he was a scholar of great learning.

■ Value and Appeal of the Artwork

**Outstanding Calligraphy:** Written in a flowing and powerful semi-cursive script (行草書), it possesses high artistic value as a calligraphy piece.

**Beautiful Content:** The poem, embodying the noble friendship and wishes for longevity characteristic of Joseon scholars, conveys sentiments such as, "Do not lament the changes seen in the mirror of time. I hope to see you healthy in this very spot next year."

**Literary Perfection:** This is a masterfully self-composed poem that perfectly adheres to the strict prosody of classical Chinese poetry (8 lines), rather than being mere prose.

Currently, it is a single sheet of old Korean paper bearing the marks of time. (Please carefully check the attached photos for its condition.)

If you entrust it to a nearby mounting shop for framing or traditional scroll mounting, it will become a stunning, high-class interior piece suitable for a tea room or study.

소장하고 있던 귀한 고문서(간찰/칠언절구 한시) 한 점 입니다.

단순한 옛날 안부 편지가 아니라, 19세기~20세기 초에 활동한 '이규범'이라는 선비가 동갑내기 벗의 생신을 축하하며 직접 지어 보낸 56자 칠언율시(七言律詩) 한시 친필 원본입니다.

- 이규범을 검색해본 결과 관련사료에 나타나진 않지만 필력이나 내용을 봐서는 굉장한 학식을 가진 분이라는 것을 알수 있습니다.

■작품의 가치와 매력

빼어난 붓글씨: 물 흐르듯 유려하고 힘 있는 행초서(行草書)로 쓰여 있어 서예 작품으로서의 예술성이 매우 높습니다.

아름다운 내용: "거울 속 변해가는 모습을 탄식하지 마시게. 내년에도 건강히 이 자리에서 뵙기를 청하네"라는 조선 선비들의 격조 높은 우정과 장수를 기원하는 마음이 담겨 있습니다.

문학적 완성도: 줄글이 아니라 엄격한 한시의 운율(8줄)을 완벽하게 맞춘 수준 높은 자작시입니다.
