In the Joseon Dynasty, Hwaseong was managed by Jangheunggo and was considered a precious item gifted to foreign dignitaries. It was reportedly very popular among Americans.
This item is a unique specialty of Korea. Hwaseong Wanggol was also called Yongsuchojiseok, as it was said to resemble dragon whiskers.
Each basket was handcrafted with great care over a long period. It would be excellent for displaying antique or vintage materials. It features various beautiful patterns inspired by homes and people.
