**Artistic Techniques:**
This piece exemplifies the 'Bakji' technique, where white slip is applied to the surface, motifs are incised, and the background is scraped away to create a striking contrast between black and white. The elegant S-shaped curve, characteristic of early Joseon Dynasty maebyeong vases, is evident with a broad shoulder tapering to a narrower base. Lush peonies and scrolling vines are dynamically depicted.
