This is a ceramic piece by renowned potter Woo Seok Jeong Ji Hyun from Baekje Pottery, featuring a unique crystal glaze.

This artist is famous for utilizing the 'Yobyeon' (窯變) phenomenon, where natural patterns emerge from the chemical reactions of the glaze under the intense heat of the kiln. (Please refer to photo 7 for the artist's biography).

The glaze contains elements that, during the cooling process, create beautiful crystal patterns resembling blooming flowers. 가마 안에서 불의 온도와 유약의 화학적 반응에 의해 자연스러운 무늬가 나타나는 요변(窯變) 현상을 이용하는 걸로 유명한 도예가 입니다.

유약 속에 포함된 성분이 냉각 과정에서 마치 꽃이 피어난 듯한 아름다운 결정(Crystal) 패턴을 만들어내는 것이 특징입니다.
가마를 열 때마다 매번 다른 형태의 결정과 색감이 나오기 때문에 똑같은 무늬를 가진 작품이 단 하나도 존재하지 않는 독창적인 소장 가치를 지니고 있습니다.
