This medal was issued in 2005 as a promotional and commemorative item, distributed to government departments and commercial banks alongside promotional brochures prior to the Bank of Korea's new banknote release. It was issued alongside the Yulgok Yi Yi silver medal and is exceptionally rare as it was not intended for sale.
Due to its rarity, many are unaware of its existence. This makes it an excellent addition for any serious collector.
