This is a genuine Canadian Volunteer Service Medal awarded to veterans of World War II.
### Details:
* **Established:** October 22, 1943.
* **Eligibility:** Awarded to members of the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy, or Royal Canadian Air Force who voluntarily served for 18 months (540 days) or more between September 3, 1939, and March 1, 1947.
* **Recipient Count:** Approximately 650,000 medals were awarded.
* **Design:** A circular silver (925 sterling silver) medal, 36mm in diameter. The ribbon features a central dark blue stripe flanked by red and green stripes.
* ** Clasps:** Available clasps include "Overseas Service", "Hong Kong", "Dieppe", and "Bomber Command".
