백자 태토로 성형한 원통형 도자기 필통으로, 기면을 따라 **해태를 연상시키는 영수(靈獸)**가 역동적인 모습으로 그려져 있는 작품입니다.

주 문양의 영수는 크게 벌린 눈과 입, 날카로운 이빨, 굽이치는 갈기와 꼬리 등이 과장되게 표현되어 있으며, 짙은 녹채를 중심으로 먹선과 적채를 함께 사용하여 강한 색채 대비를 이루고 있습니다. 주변에는 구름을 연상시키는 선묘와 작은 영수가 함께 배치되어 화면에 생동감을 더합니다.
