Original artwork by Chae Jeong-kwon (1931-2009), a prominent first-generation Western-style painter from the Busan and Gyeongnam region.

Chae Jeong-kwon, born in Goseong, Gyeongnam, was a representative first-generation Western-style artist in Korea who was active primarily in Busan, Masan, and Jinhae. He graduated from what is now Kyungnam University and is acclaimed for his ability to capture pure childhood innocence, natural daily life, and lyrical emotions through a fantastical artistic style.

He dedicated himself to his art for many years, remaining relatively unknown in the local art scene. Following his passing, posthumous exhibitions have shed light on his unique artistic world, characterized by vibrant colors and expressive lines.

This particular painting depicts five children playing amidst flowers, symbolizing childhood innocence. It is noted for its brighter palette compared to some of his other works.

오랫동안 지역 화단에 크게 알려지지 않은 채 작품 활동에 전념하였으며 사후에 유작전이 열리며 화려한 색채와 선이 깃든 독창적인 예술 세계를 재조명받고 있습니다.
