이 기물은 ‘도자기’라는 단어만으로 설명하기엔 부족하다. 차라리 작은 조각 작품, 혹은 입체 공예 오브제에 가깝다. 형태는 명확하다. 남성용 치파오, 혹은 장삼을 입은 상반신 형식이다. 그러나 사람의 몸이 아니라, 옷 자체가 주인공이다.

전체 구조는 속이 비어 있고, 외벽은 거의 전면이 투각으로 이루어져 있다. 단순히 구멍을 낸 수준이 아니라, 식물 덩굴이 얽히듯 이어지는 패턴이 전체를 감싸며 구조를 유지한다. 이건 단순 장식이 아니라, 구조와 장식이 완전히 일체화된 형태다.
