Experience the overwhelming rendition of Beethoven's Piano Concertos by Barenboim and the Staatskapelle Berlin!

Daniel Barenboim has a long-standing relationship with the Ruhr Piano Festival in western Germany, and this recording captures a highly popular live performance from that era. Notably, this recording was made 40 years after Barenboim's first recording of the Beethoven Concertos with the great conductor Otto Klemperer in 1967, when he was a mere 24 years old.

While Barenboim exhibits extremely precise fingerwork when performing Beethoven's sonatas, in this performance, he delivers a powerful touch and commanding orchestral direction suitable for concertos. He truly shines, not just in the 'Emperor' Concerto (No. 5), but in all the pieces, presenting masterful performances worthy of the 'Emperors of Piano Concertos'.

The DVD, case, and inserts are all maintained in excellent condition.
