### Dir en grey - VULGAR (Standard Edition)

Released on September 10, 2003, *VULGAR* is the 4th studio album from the Japanese visual kei rock band Dir en grey.

This album, featuring a theme of 'pain' and the suffering of innocent hearts wounded by the vulgarities of the world, is considered by the band members themselves to be their "first work." It marks a pivotal point in Dir en grey's career.

While retaining their signature heavy sound, *VULGAR* presents a more dramatic and stimulating sonic landscape. Tracks like "THE IIID EMPIRE" (Track 2) and "INCREASE BLUE" (Track 3) were later used as insert songs in the film *Death Trance*.

일본의 비주얼계 록 밴드 Diren grey가 세상에 넘쳐나는 VULGAR 속악한 것에 상처받는 순진한 마음의 아픔을 주제로 제작한 음반.
'아픔'을 주제로 한 앨범은 멤버 자신 「자신에게 있어서의 첫 번째 작품」이라고 발언하고 있어, 밴드로서도 전기가 된 작품이기도 하다.
헤비한 사운드는 그대로, 보다 드라마틱하고 자극적으로 변모를 이룬 음공간을 제시.
2번트랙 THE IIID EMPIRE와 3번트랙 INCREASE BLUE는 나중에 영화 데스 트랜스의 삽입곡으로도 기용됐다.
초회반만 특수 패키지 사양으로, 수록곡 「OBSCURE」의 뮤직 클립 DVD를 동봉하고 있다.
다만 발매시에 규제를 받았으므로, 실제의 영상은 노 컷 영상집 「AVERAGE PSYCHO」로 볼 수 있다.
