시작 부분이 동농 선생이 아파서 걱정한다는 내용이 있습니다.

마지막 줄에는 광무 10년 3월 2일에 썼다고 되어있으며, 고종황제의 서명이 있습니다.

영인본이나 복사본이 아닌, 실제 오래된 한지에 진한 먹으로 한자한자 써내려간 작품으로 희소성이 뛰어납니다.

고종이 개인에게 쓴 간찰은 많이 남아있지 않은 편입니다.
