[BUNJANG] Gobi Desert Agate Large Natural Gu'an Stone Mongcheonju / 고비사막 마노석 대형 천연 구안 몽천주
Mongcheonju (蒙天珠) are Heaven Beads made by carving the unique natural raw stone 'Gu'an Stone Shale' (九眼石頁岩) produced in the Inner Mongolia region of China. The 'Mong' (蒙) in the name signifies its origin from the Inner Mongolia region.
Compared to typical Tibetan Heaven Beads, traditional Tibetan Heaven Beads are made by artificially treating agate raw stones with chemicals to fire patterns. However, Mongcheonju preserves the naturally formed concentric circle ('eye') patterns as they are in the raw stone. It is a result of nature, without artificial drawings or dyes.
Furthermore, it is a processed stone formed in volcanic rock areas where agate, jasper, quartz, and jadeite have coexisted for a long time, making it very hard and heavy with a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 8.5.
Upon close observation, this is a natural, rare agate Heaven Bead with nine concentric circles forming the 'heavenly eye' pattern.

몽천주(蒙天珠)는 중국 내몽고 지역에서 산출되는 특이한 천연 원석인 '구안석예암(九眼石頁岩)'을 깎아서 만든 천주입니다. 이름의 '몽(蒙)'은 내몽고 지역에서 유래했음을 뜻합니다.
일반적인 티베트 천주와 비교할때 전통적인 티베트 천주는 마노(Agate) 원석에 인위적으로 약품 처리를 하여 문양을 구워내지만, 몽천주는 원석이 형성될 때 자연적으로 생긴 동심원(눈) 모양의 패턴을 그대로 살려 만듭니다. 인위적인 그림이나 염색이 들어가지 않은 자연의 결과물입니다. 그리고 화산암 지대에서 마노, 벽옥(Jasper), 수정, 옥수 등이 오랜 세월 동안 함께 공생하며 형성된 암석으로 모스 경도가 6.5~8.5에 달할 정도로 매우 단단하고 묵직한 가공석입니다.
