A Yangiro vase from the Goryeo Dynasty, characterized by its full, spherical body with ring-shaped handles on both sides, typical of the Gyunyo style.

Generously coated in a thick, bluish-grey glaze, the vase features prominent, naturally flowing crimson splashes in the center, showcasing the distinctive color variations achieved through the firing process, characteristic of Gyunyo ceramics.

The crimson splashes, a result of copper oxidation during firing, manifest as purplish-red hues and are a hallmark decorative feature of Gyunyo ware. Examples of Goryeo celadon with natural purplish-red spots on blue glaze are well-documented.

Notably, the surface exhibits natural crackling (bingryeol) and deep glaze variations accumulated over time, with the base revealing the unglazed clay and foot.

The twin ring handles and the stable, rounded form of the vase reflect the ancient, elegant aesthetic derived from Goryeo celadon's inspiration from ancient bronze vessels.

원대 균요(鈞窯) 계열에서 보이는 풍만한 구형 몸체에 양쪽으로 고리형 손잡이를 붙인 형태의 양이로입니다.
전체적으로 청회색을 띠는 두터운 유약 위에 중앙의 선명한 홍반이 자연스럽게 흘러내리듯 표현되어 있으며, 균요 특유의 불길에 의한 유색 변화가 잘 나타납니다.

홍반은 동(銅) 성분이 소성 과정에서 변화하면서 나타나는 적자색 계열의 발색으로, 균요를 대표하는 장식적 특징 가운데 하나입니다. 실제 균요 작품에서도 청색 유약 위에 자홍·적색 반점이 자연스럽게 형성된 사례가 확인됩니다.

특히 표면 전체에 세월에 따른 자연스러운 빙렬과 유약의 깊은 변화가 보이고, 바닥은 굽과 태토가 그대로 드러나는 형태입니다.

양쪽 고리형 귀와 둥글고 안정감 있는 기형도 고대 청동기에서 유래한 균요 계열의 고풍스러운 조형미를 보여줍니다.
