This piece is glazed with a sky-blue or celadon glaze, exhibiting a jade-like luster. It features the iconic Song Dynasty Guan Ware 'ice crackle' (binglie) / 'seaweed pattern' (haizao wen) craze lines. Faint yellowish lines, known as 'golden threads' (jinsha), are naturally distributed, a typical effect resulting from the difference in expansion coefficients between the clay body and the glaze.

It possesses a classic form: a wide mouth, a narrow neck, a full belly, and a circular foot. Historically, these vessels, referred to as 'Sadou' (waste containers), were primarily used during banquets to hold food scraps. Following the Song Dynasty, they also served as water vessels for scholars ('suisheng') or decorative ceramics.

Features 'Purple Mouth, Iron Foot' (Zikou Tiezhu):

Both the rim and the foot exhibit a dark-colored border, mimicking the 'Zikou Tiezhu' effect of Guan Ware. The thinner glaze on the rim reveals the dark clay body beneath, and the exposed clay at the foot also presents a dark hue. This is one of the symbolic characteristics of Song Dynasty Guan Ware ceramics.

입은 벌어지고 목은 가늘며 배는 볼록하고 굽은 원형인, 사두(찌꺼기통)의 고전적인 형태입니다. 사두는 고대에 주로 연회에서 음식 찌꺼기를 담는 용도로 쓰였으며, 송대 이후에는 문방의 수승(물그릇)이나 진열용 자기로도 자주 쓰였습니다.
“자구철족(紫口铁足)” 특징
입가와 굽 모두 어두운 색 테두리가 있는데, 이는 관요의 '자구철족' 공정 효과를 모방한 것입니다. 입가의 유약이 얇은 부분에서는 태토의 어두운 색이 드러나고, 굽의 태토가 드러난 부분도 어두운 색을 띠는데, 이는 송대 관요 자기의 상징적인 특징 중 하나입니다.
