This is a Hagi-Yaki matcha chawan (tea bowl) from the traditional pottery region of Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.

The box is inscribed with '萩 茶盌' (Hagi Chawan), the signature of Kogetsu-Gama (江月窯), and a seal. The potter's mark from the kiln is also visible on the bottom of the bowl.

Faint crackles (bingryeol) and natural glaze drips appear over a glaze of soft off-white and light pipa green. This is a simple tea bowl that emphasizes the texture of the clay and glaze itself, with restrained decorative patterns, highlighting the calm and warm atmosphere unique to Hagi-Yaki.

The V-shaped notch on one side of the foot is not damage but a traditional Hagi tea bowl form called 'jeolgodae' or 'warigodai'. The charm of handcrafted pottery can be felt in the hand-shaped and carved foot and the natural traces of the clay.

상자에는 ‘萩 茶盌’이라는 품명과 고게츠가마(江月窯)의 서명 및 낙관이 있으며, 다완 바닥에서도 가마의 도인이 확인됩니다.
