[BUNJANG] Il-Bung Seo Kyung-Bo "Heart Sutra" 8-Panel Folding Screen Calligraphy / 일붕 서경보스님 반야심경 8폭병풍글씨

This is a piece of Buddhist calligraphy featuring the Heart Sutra, meticulously rendered by the renowned Korean monk Il-Bung Seo Kyung-Bo (1914-1996).

The Heart Sutra, a core scripture in Buddhism, is presented in its entirety across eight panels, written in a fluid *haengcho* (semi-cursive) script.

The inscription '신축년' indicates the year 1961. Master Seo Kyung-Bo was known for his vibrant and bold calligraphy.

스님의 생전 호방한 풍모가 담긴 기록글씨를 주로 남기셨던 분입니다.

"삼십팔개 박사 일붕 서경보"라는 글귀가 선명하여, 일붕 선사의 작품임을 알 수 있습니다. 이 경전은 집안에 평안을 기원하거나 수행의 의미로 걸어두는 용도로 가치가 높습니다.

색불이공 공불이색 색즉시공 공즉시공(色不異空 空不異色 色卽是空 空卽卽空)"
​형태가 있는 것은 비어 있는 것과 다르지 않고, 비어 있는 것은 형태가 있는 것과 다르지 않다. 형체가 곧 공(空)이요, 공이 곧 형체이다.

세상 모든 것은 고정된 실체가 없음을 깨달아 마음의 걸림을 없애고, 결국 모든 괴로움에서 벗어나 최고의 깨달음(아뇩다라삼먁삼보리) 에 이르게 된다는 내용입니다.
