The clay body is relatively dense, and the surface is coated with an opaque white or ivory glaze. Notably, traces of glaze removal are visible around the foot and on the base, a common processing technique at the time to prevent sticking during firing.
Fine iron spots scattered across the surface and natural aging of the glaze clearly showcase the authentic historical patina characteristic of excavated artifacts.

본 기물은 금대(1115~1234) 시기 북방 가마에서 제작된 것으로 추정되는 백자 소호입니다. 전체적인 기형은 원만하고 풍만한 구형을 띠고 있으며, 짧은 목 위로 입구는 밖으로 살짝 말린 도톰한 형태를 취하고 있습니다.
태토는 비교적 치밀하며, 기표에는 유백색 혹은 미색의 유약이 시유되었습니다. 특히 굽 주변과 바닥면을 보면 유약을 훑어낸 흔적이 확인되는데, 이는 소성 시 바닥에 붙는 것을 방지하기 위한 당시의 공정 특징입니다.
기면 곳곳에 보이는 미세한 철분점과 자연스러운 유면의 노화 현상은 출토품 특유의 세월감을 잘 나타내고 있습니다.
