This exquisite celadon porcelain dish, dating from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China period, features a central motif of a mythical creature, possibly a lion or haetae, characterized by its upward-reaching mane and bushy tail, symbolizing warding off evil spirits and bringing good fortune. Above the creature, a pine tree stretches its branches, with a bird perched upon them, signifying longevity and joyful tidings. The rim of the dish is adorned with bamboo patterns. The unglazed base reveals several handwritten characters, though they are faded and difficult to decipher. The dish is in perfect condition, measuring approximately 6.2 cm in height and 28.7 cm in diameter. It includes a wooden stand and an paulownia box. 사자(혹은 해태)나 기린으로,
위로 솟은 갈기와 풍성한 꼬리가 특징인데
벽사와 길상의 의미를 지니고 있습니다.
사자 위로 가지를 뻗고 있는 소나무와 그 가지에 앉은 새는
장수와 희보(喜報)를 상징하는 것이라 하겠습니다.
뒷 쪽의 기벽에는 대나무가 시문되어 있으며
노태 상태의 굽 내저에는 여러 자의 묵서가 있으나
흐릿하여 난독입니다.
전체적으로 청말민초(淸末民初) 시기의 기물로 보이며
크기는 높이 약 6.2, 입지름 28.7 cm이고
상태는 완전합니다.
